Lotus is a guest chair designed to bring forth a translation of traditional Ming Dynasty chair design for a modern space. The design was inspired by a Ming Dynasty folding chair that was created to allow high-class generals to maintain a gesture of status during an outing. There's a Chinese idiom that describes the growth of a lotus flower, out of the mud yet unstained. Kindness, warmth, generosity, and pureness of heart are all emotions the chair hopes to convey.

Spidique is a chair produced with 3D printing technology in PLA. The form of Spidique was generated with Ameba software, which applies the BESO algorithm for topological optimization. Prototypes were printed and tested for comfort and durability. The intent behind Spidique is to reach the required function with a minimal amount of plastic and reduced material waste.

Build by only two elements; a steel joint and a massive wood leg. Multiplied by three. Easy to repair since it's hand built.
