Time of Nature Interior Design

Time of Nature

Time of Nature is a residential interior design for a four-story house in a quiet alley of Shanghai. Each floor has its own theme: a dining and reception area, a reading and meditation space, a relaxed drinking space, and a calm bedroom space. Curves shape the ceilings, the stair handrail and the wall corners. Large old steel windows on the north and south sides bring in natural light. Old wood and antique furniture give the rooms a natural and historical character. The original ceiling was removed to reveal the pitched roof, which was relaid with old wood.

My Dream Home Public Welfare Renovation

My Dream Home

My Dream Home is the renovation of an 80 square metre garden apartment in Hangzhou for a family of five. The original home was cramped, with poor lighting and ventilation, an inefficient layout and limited privacy. Internal walls were removed to form an open kitchen and dining area, a study, two bathrooms and three bedrooms. Electric sliding and floor-to-ceiling glass windows increase daylight and connect the interior with the garden. Sliding walls and multifunctional furniture adapt the space, while step-free access, non-slip floors and handrails support older residents.

4000 Light Restaurant

4000 Light

4000 Light is a hot pot restaurant interior designed for young customers. Light is used as the core design element of the space. Different light sources and specular reflection materials create reflection and refraction effects on carefully shaped surfaces. An image interaction technology adds changing visual effects. Three focal areas, named the art hall, the wormhole and the time channel, organize the plan. The interior covers 1000 square meters. Light and shade replace building materials as the main space-forming elements, so visitors interact with the surrounding environment.

Jing Hong Art Installations

Jing Hong

Jing Hong is a large art installation created for an art gallery in Beijing, China. The red form reaches 6 meters in height and extends about 100 meters in total length. The streamer shape flows from the outdoor stairs into the gallery and continues to a dining space below. A welded iron frame serves as the internal keel, and matte stretch fabric forms the ribbon surface. Curved landing points carry the load, so no columns or hanging points are used. A wind device sets part of the fabric in motion. Visitors can walk along the installation and feel surrounded by the streamer.

Jazz Interior Design

Jazz

When jazz enters the interior, the diversity that combines ruggedness and delicacy showcases a individual personality. This project involves the living space of a single man and his cat. The entire room is centered around a gray-black color scheme, aiming to highlight the texture of exposed concrete, metal components, and glass. It is complemented by a reddish-brown wood grain, adding warmth to the cool tones. The team attempted to integrate the concept of Well Building Standard into the residence, incorporating design techniques such as air, water, light, thermal comfort, and materials.
